Zoë
Mottaz began her dance career aged 2 ½. Born in Cambridge
(Dec 9 1970), she attended a local dance school run by June Wallman
until she was 11 years old, before starting at Bush Davis, a professional
dance boarding-school situated in Sussex. After six years of training,
having gained many exams in RAD (Royal Academy of Dancing) Ballet,
ISTD (Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing) Ballet, Modern, Tap
and National and LAMDA (London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art)
exams, Zoë moved to London and to the Italia Conti Stage School.
She studied here for a further two years, continuing her training
and performing in various shows.
In 1989, Zoë successfully
auditioned for a troupe to work in Greece, where she stayed for
nearly 19 months, performing every night and making some television
appearances. As well as working in Greece, Zoë's dancing career
has taken her to Japan, Italy and to Expo'92 in Seville. During
this time, Zoë passed her associate N.A.T.D. with distinction.
Zoë moved back to
the UK in Sept 1996, where she began teaching ballet in Shelford.
In January 1999, Zoë took over June Wallman's dance school,
and began teaching dance at St Collette's, a local prep school.
Several years on,
Zoë is proud to have gained an excellent reputation and has
entered children in local shows, competitions and exams. The MB
Academy has grown and Zoë now also teaches speech and drama
in her busy timetable.
Zoë would like to
thank her family, friends and the pupils of the MB Academy for their
continuing support.
