Welcome to the MB Academy of Dance Website!

This site has been designed for the MB Dancers, their family and friends. If you have ideas for what you would like to see on the site, please talk to us in class or email us! We would also be grateful for any feedback on the site, so we can make improvements.

Why do we need a website?

The website has been launched as an additional resource for the dancers. It is not at all essential for class-work and hence if your child does not have regular access to the Internet it will not matter at all. However for children who do use the Internet, it may provide a fun way to learn. Much of the information on the site has wider educational value, i.e. as well as teaching children about dance, it may also support school work. It is also increasingly important in modern life for children to feel confident with computers and the web.

Where to start

You may like to then familiarise yourself with the site. The menu bar in the top right hand corner of the screen appears on every page to help you find your way around. You may also find it useful to use the "back" button on your web-browser. Most of the pages are aimed at the dancers - you may like to read the page equivalent to this aimed at the dancers to see the main sections of interest. There are also some areas aimed more specifically at parents.

Information from the latest newsletter will appear in the news section, where you can also email us if your newsletter becomes lost and need us to email you another! Details of term dates and the class timetable are given in the introductory about us section. Within dance info, you will find some material on uniform, including sizing guidelines and instructions for sewing elastic / ribbons to ballet shoes.
