Welcome to the MB Academy of Dance Website!

This site has been designed primarily for you, the MB Dancers, and also for your family and friends. If you have ideas for what you would like to see on the site, please talk to us in class or email us! Let us know what you think of the site too, so we can make it the way you want it to be.

Where do I start?!

If this is your first visit to the site, please check out our safety page first. This gives you some guidelines on how to make the most of the Internet in a safe way. Remember if you are ever unsure of something, you should ask an adult straight away.

There are lots of resources on the site - so have a look around! The menu bar in the top right hand corner of the screen appears on every page to help you find your way around. You may also find it useful to use the "back" button on your web-browser.

You might like to start off looking at the pages under dance info. Here you will find lots of resources which can help you in class, such as a glossary of ballet terms, information about music and the biology of dance section. You might also find these help you with schoolwork, for example knowing your ballet terms can help you with French, and the biology section is a fun way to do some science. There are also some pages on local theatre performances of dance including the story behind some of the famous shows, and a list of books you might like to read. Perhaps you could write a review of a book you have read, or a show you have seen, and we could add it to the site (with your parent/guardian's permission).

The games section gives you a chance to relax and learn in a fun way!

Under about us you will find class and term times, in case you need a reminder. Information from the latest newsletter will appear in the news section, where you can also email us if you lose your newsletter and need us to email you another!

Will I fall behind if I cannot get regular access to the website?

Not at all. The website is simply an extra resource for you - it is not at all essential for class-work. So do not worry if you do not regularly use the Internet.
